Strength-Based SMART Goals
You’ll probably want to watch our Coaches’ Corner from last week for this, but we wanted to give you a quick overview of why you should be planning out your training. If you want to achieve ANY type of goal, you really need to sit down and plan out the details, which will help you:
- Create a training program
- Ensure your goals are attainable and realistic
- Set mini-goals to stay motivated
- Address any barriers to achieving your goals
Essentially, goal-setting allows us to understand what it is we’re trying to do and create a plan that lets us get there. I challenge you to think of a time you had a goal and didn’t make a plan for it. How did it go?
Florida Man Mayhem I: April 2, 2022: Ladies and Gents, mark your calendars for a day of watching strong people lift heavy shit up! We promise it will be a great time and it’s just down the road at Laishley Park. As the time comes closer, we will also be looking for volunteers to help us out. Don’t worry, you’ll be rewarded :D
Alpha Off-Road Grand Opening & Toy Drive: Last Saturday we got the opportunity to bring the team, Team Chubby Unicorns, to support Alpha Off-Road’s grand opening and toy drive. Scott & Chris are great people and will be doing our lifts and off-road packages on the Jeeps. They also donated $100 towards the team, which we returned with $100 worth of toys for their drive. Rhinogeddon V: For our Strongman folks, you guys know how much we LOVE the annual Strongman competition we hold in our North Carolina gym. This year ran even better than last year, with approximately 80 competitors and a smooth day! We are so excited to have our first Strongman meet here in Florida, Florida Man Mayhem I.
